Hello Russell, do you mean RAAM, or a ride across America?

Awesome! I have no useful advice, but I now see why you want to join in with the long rides. I hope they help.

No I haven't, its bloody expensive with all the crew requirements.
I would recommend searching for blogs/fb pages by Chris 'Hoppo' Hopkinson (perennial racer) and Shu Pillinger (1st British female solo finisher)
If you're looking to do it with a team then Kevin Miller from the club did Race around Ireland as part of a team and might be able to offer some advice. (As I understand it involves very different training to a solo attempt)
I guess you did Brands Hatch - how was it and how far did you get? BTW Hector also qualified this year...

Hi Sam It is expensive, Im hoping for a few corporate backers as we are raising a bit for some charities which helped me personally a few years ago. Correct in Brands Hatch assumption, I got through Revolve24, managed 147 laps, 357 miles 39,000+ ft of climbing. It was chuffing hard, came 8th in soloists so was pleased as punch. Aiming to do a solo for RAAM, but always open to ideas. I swore when I got off bike I would never do it again, but you know what, I probably will. SImply, its there, and it needs doing. Looking forward to training over winter months. Do you know of any decent bike fitters? SOrry for all the questions, Im relatively new to this stuff.

BW Russell Hi Russell, I can put in you in contact with Shu Pillinger, first British solo female to complete it in the time limit (my wife was crew for one of Shu's trips too) if that's helpful? James,
