The Pearson looks set to head Cliff's way, who needs a new bike. I'm going to get him up and running on it with some stuff that is getting towards the end of its useful life, that he can upgrade when funds permit.
But, if anyone has any gear that they can let go for free or a small / nominal amount, it would help get a better bike together to start with. Useful would be:
Time pedals Chainset STIs Back Gear Mech Cassette & Chain Brake calipers Handlebars (oversize - or bars & stem if normal sized)
Anything drivetrain related, Shimano would be better, to integrate with what's already on the bike.

I've got some of these items in shimano 9-speed flavour, well used but were functional last time I looked - tiagra chainset, 105 sti's 105 mech, a probably-dead cassette, and maybe some calipers as well...

Sorry to hijack, but I'd like the Ultegra group if Cliff doesn't want it.

After writing off my Ribble at the end of last year (Frame, forks, front wheel) I have full components (9 speed) 105 which I need to strip. Is a couple of years old.
I have a new ultegra triple chainset and bb which I did 100 miles on - will look to sell these on ebay (unless anyone wants) when I get round to sorting it out, but rest happy to give / token fee

Hey guys, thanks to everyone for all the offers.
From a couple of email exchanges with Cliff, sounds like he is keen to go for Ronnie's Ultegra 9-spd groupset and Ultegra-Open wheels; the bars & stem would be dead handy too...
Ron - can I drop in on Weds. night, and I can then do the spanner-work over the weekend?

Again, thanks Bob... ...and thanks to Ronnie for having the suitable kit to bring across. Sorry, but my budget definately does't stretch to the ES's right now.... Maybe in a few months...
