Some members have been to Taiwan and ridden the Taroko Gorge King of the Mountains route. At around 63miles it's reckoned to be one of the hardest climbs in the world. Covid 19 means that there's been no events this year but our good friend Rob who runs Pedal Taiwan is organising a virtual event in November. More details below: We've partnered up with a leading virtual cycling platform, ‘Action Medical Research’ and ‘The Taiwan Tourism Bureau’ to bring cyclists a race that lets them virtually experience cycling through the central mountains in Taiwan: the home of the Taiwan KOM Challenge. The race will be free for all participants, with an optional fundraising element for Action Medical Research. It will bring Dulwich Paragon members the opportunity to win some genuinely amazing prizes, compete against a current British Champion as well as other cycling celebrities, and win a spot in our live finals event in London. Here’s the link to the page on our website that just explains the event a bit more: pedaltaiwan.com/the-pedal-taiwan-virtual-cycling-race/We’ll send some more information through soon once we launch the event. It's a great experience and for a very worthy cause so do sign up and enjoy the (virtual) ride. Nigel

No Sara, it doesn't have to be. As with the real thing you can stop and resume when you like.... only difference is you won't have the spectacular views to take in.
