For those of you who have had a dabble at fasted rides, one of my friends, Jon Furniss, is taking it to the next level. Starting tomorrow, he is riding 500km over 5 days completely fasted (Scotland to Bristol)
He previously ran 100 miles with similar conditions along with James Cracknell and some others.
Jon is a type 1 diabetic and changed his diet to low/zero carb to help manage that. It's hard to get your head around but it does show what the human body is capable of. Well worth a read if this is the sort of endeavour that interests you.
Personally, I will stick to a steady 90 minute commute as the furthest I will go without food.

I am looking forward to hearing how it goes-and how long it takes? I guess you need to keep heart rate down?
