Thanks chaps. I put it together last week after getting the great image of Wally G at Herne Hill from Fred Robinson. Brian Dacey - first winner - has been in touch and will ride the neutralised section ahead of the field as well as presenting the prizes. Chopped down versions of the release also featured on LCS and the CW Friday news. That nice Mr Celery said he might try and get us some more coverage too.

Absolutely terrific piece! Great to hear that Brian Dacey will ride out at the start. And that we have the biggest team for years.
I'd not spotted that we had come second in the region... Who beat us?

Thanks Bob. It was the dreaded Dynamo that pipped us due primarily to sheer numbers. If it worked on a points scored per rider basis then we probably would have been top.

I'm still not sure that if we did it on an average points per rider who scored any we'd beat them. They do have several elites and 1st cats who would have scored shed loads between. Didn't my points transfer across or was it too late?
We probably had more people hit the deck than them - so at least we were better at something.
Great article. I didn't realise it was the 75th anniversary next year - do you think we should get some commemorative racing jerseys made up?

Elite and 1st cat riders don't score regional points so they wouldn't affect regional rankings. And of course neither do women, who also can only score national ranking points.
Our regional ranking is entirely down to the clubs 2,3,4 cat men racing in regional category events.
