Does anyone use the wall mounts (one fixed bracket on the wall for the front wheel - back wheel then rests on the wall) for storage? www.evanscycles.com/product.jsp?style=20756 Cannot see how this can be good for the rims and spokes, or am I just been over protective of my bike. ta

Have done this for years: www.dulwichparagon.com/hooks.jpgwith no apparent ill effects. I figure that the stress of 6Kg of bike on hub bearings should not be much compared to 80Kg of rider leaning on the barrier waiting for the lights to change.

No problem using them whatsoever, we use them at all our shops for staff bike parking, and If shop staff don't mind hanging their percious steeds by their wheels then you know its fine!

I've been using them too with no ill effects. I also use the wall mounted rack for the precious steeds

BUT if you are tight for space, and live in an upper level flat like me, i would recommend the CYCLOC, it's a more aesthetically pleasing alternative, and the black version is also made of recycled plastic. And it's designed and manufactured by a young independent designer Andrew Lang. You will need to buy separate fixings though... here's mine in pride of place: www.flickr.com/photos/jeremygetscash/sets/72157600045648436/and the link direct to www.cycloc.com
