Helloes
I was hoping for some info from da community
I live in Rotherhite, and am wondering whether there are people here in the club who live around here or have a ride starting from Greenwich something about 25 miles, 40km.
This will enable me to do some more training during the week. As the timing for the Chaingangs is too early.
If any one has info then much apreciated...
Thanks Christophe

Hi Cristophe. I am not aware of any rides that go from there, however I do occasionally ride in that area. This route is the one I take and I would recommend if you want something fast and direct. Never done it in the week but suspect it could be a bit too busy then but at other times it is fine. A lot of the route has cycle lanes. The main drag from Sidcup is slightly uphill and most often has a headwind. Coming back is ridiculous though - downhill with a tailwind and a large section with a bus lane. Sidcup bypass roundabout can be a bit tricky. www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=2900519 If you wanted to extend the route then you have Knockholt to the West and Knatts Valley to the East - very nice areas for riding.

I have started doing 50km rides from Blackheath. I have a map somewhere but in general it goes: Grove Park, Chiselhurst, St Mary Cray, Crockenhill, Romney Street, Shoreham, Well Hill, Chiselhurst, Grove Park.
It's very similar to the Dulwich P Sat morning ride, all on quiet roads. Fast, it's just under 2 hrs.
If you drop me a line I'll dig out the map.

I rode Tomf's route last Friday afternoon. It is indeed very pleasant. I saw only 2 cars between Eynsford and Doctor's Wood.
