During my getting off and on in the park during the evenings this week, it did occur to me that there are so many areas of the park that would be great for cyclo cross (what with my wide knowledge after 1 race, an all ) I realise it would cause some damage to the slopes used, but do you reckon the park authorities (Bromley council I presume) would consider letting the park be used again?

www.youtube.com/watch?v=bWp-0TuY4Sk?! More fab music. This isn't the bike circuit (or is it...), but where?... I think my dad used to drive his Ford Anglia in a similar "swinging" style to Jim Clark.

Ah! The halcyon days of motorsport... and a complete lack of the pesky fluro-tabard'ed health & safety wombles too! Do like the shot of cars racing past spectators in deck chairs with only a straw bail to protect them! The old race circuit does use parts of the cycle track (climb and start finish straight). It's the layout used for the Tour Of Britain TT stage a few years back... You can see the top corner and top of the climb in the footage - although the cars are going in the opposite direction, and a bit faster! It's the motor circuit used in the original Italian Job film (only blow the bloody doors off scene etc - you can see the transmitter in some shots!)....
