Good to see Mr Chipper took advantage of my absence!
And well done too Delia
What the latest on the Kev Ball/David R battle for supremacy. I'd go for David R round there, but would gladly be proved wrong.

Good to see Mr Chipper took advantage of my absence! And well done too Delia What the latest on the Kev Ball/David R battle for supremacy. I'd go for David R round there, but would gladly be proved wrong. David Rees won again, I think that it could rain for a week and Hillingdon wouldn't be muddy. Brian Curtis was riding file treads and Matt Holmes didn't get to use his Dugast Rhinos that were on his spare wheelset. National Trophies are no place for Mr Chipper. How did it go in Ipswich Andy?

Best race yet. I think I may have hit both my season's goals - I didn't get lapped (first time I've managed to avoid losing a lap at this level), and I think I may have scraped into the top 30 (guy just in front of me thought he was about 28/29th so we'll see when the results come out). Claire Beaumont was 6th but was in the lead from the gun, but then panicked about being in the lead, and rode into the tape, twice... Delia definitely needs to give these a go. It was a very different course to last year with only a very short and easy section in the woods and no run up. It was almost all dry too, just a bit of dampness that probably helped make it grippier if anything. Think you'd have liked it

Well done all.
Rubbish day for me. Having been gridded (haha) I felt like my lungs were bleeding half way round the first lap, then my chain fell off at the planks and finally the wind blew the marker tape around my brake lever and I went down. I 'm not sure it could have been any more shambolic. I shouldn't have started really. Oh well, you live and learn, or maybe you don't.
Scary cross next...

Well done Andy! That's a great result, especially not getting lapped too!
I can confirm that it's now 3-0 in the DavidR-KevinB cross battle... I had a great battle with Bryan Taylor and a guy from Dynamo for the first 35minutes until I lost about 10 seconds when I got blocked by someone on the banking section. But I plugged away and even managed to nick 2 places on the line! So, as it stands, 27th overall... second Dulwich home, and really pleased with me performance. Richie, sorry to hear you had a cross-horribilis of a race... there's always next time!
