This is a response to the thread above, that doesn't allow a reply.
I don't say this with my elitist, gentleman's club, velvety top hat on, but if we attract more than about ten people to these cross rides they will become unmanageable and i will stop riding them. Encounters with dog walkers, ramblers, horse riders and so on will become awkward and a bad advert for the club.

I'll remove it then. Let's just pretend it never happened.

What happened to the old kevin knox? Who's this new one with only 3 posts to his name? I reckon the web host got sick of adding more hard disks to the server to contain kk's prodigious output, and requested he change id.. Chamon(iard) muthaf***er!

`We're an easily-led cycling club with no hangovers. ` - except when it comes to mountain bike riders.

Welcome to Dulwich Paragon, 'Kevin'! As a new member, you might want to try the Saturday ride. It'd be a great way for you to meet other members! Alternatively, have you ever heard of cyclo cross? We do races every now and again so if you have an old mountain bike knocking around, you could join in too!

Welcome Kevin. Have you considered racing? You might enjoy it. If you wear club kit other Paragon members will sometimes make an effort to say hello. ;D

I notice that a 'Mr Average' has also joined recently. If you can tell me what sort of an average you are then we can find the perfect ride for you. Are you a 13.5-16.5 or more of a 17-21.5 man?
These things are important and it's best you know about them up front. We carefully adhere to these speeds all the way round all rides, though it can be very hard maintaining the 21.5 up toys hill and there is a temptation to go faster on some of the downhill sections (though this is frowned upon), but I'm sure you'll get the hang of it.
Yours in cycling
