And it could be a pretty hot contest between the Misses Juniper, McRae and Hall as well as a number of quick road racers. All those handbags!

Most of the field have never ridden cross before. First attempt in the dark on a technical course? Could be interesting

Just doing a quick count up - 16 of the girls on that list have done cross races either this season or in previous seasons and a couple of them are strong mountain bikers - about 5 of them take part/have taken part in national trophy/national cyclo cross champs. Not sure how people will do in the dark, but there are about 5 of them who have taken part in those mountain bike 24hr marathon jobbies. Anna Glowinski, who will have had input in the course design is abit of a bmx/tricks chick so she'll be quite handy. Charlotte is very good on road, has never done cross before but has recently bought a cross bike and will have been out training recently. Same goes for Maryka Sennema and Elise Laverick.
Nicola Juniper, Joanne McRae and Corrinne Hall are solid cyclo cross riders so I think it'll be abit of a battle between them. For the rest of us it'll be quite an open field and there could be a few surprises. For me, I'm looking forward to the beer tent bit and it'll be an achievement if I can ride in fancy dress and it all stays in place!

Oh, and there's also Nadine Spearing who's pretty good.
The national championships have had around 20-25 riders over the years. The inter-area champs attract a comparable sized field, with almost 30 entering a few years ago. This Rollapaluza event is definitely the biggest women's cross race we've ever had outside of national level races.

Maria, Boom Boom Beaumont's not going to be happy she's not on your list.

The lovely Claire B as well - riding high in the national rankings and made the field work at Ipswich National Trophy race last week. Sorry, thought everyone knew that already - she's from our manor so we've been following how well she's doing. (Alright I'll shut up now!)
