It's the first of two visits to Stanmer Park, the other is at the end of Jan. You have KevB's guarantee of mud. 1pm start.
May I have a lift if anyone has room please?

I'm planning to be there, but travelling down on Saturday with family, so can't offer a lift I'm afraid.
(I'm assuming I can enter on the day? can't see anything on the website to say either way)

Sorry, can't offer any lifts unless you want to go to Mallory Park.

Train from Victoria to Brighton, change there for train to Falmer - it's right by the park by the looks of things... Stanmer, not Mallory!

Kev, David...... looks like I'm on for this and will be driving down. Give us a call on 07905673652 and I'll give you my address. Should anyone else fancy it there's another space going begging. See ya tomorrow.

Sorry I wouldn't be able to help out on lifts as I'll be leaving from Wallington with Aodan. Also we are staying in Brighton after the race. See you tomorrow. M:-)

Today was quite a good race down in Brighton. I wasn't overly keen after having a nasty cold all week but the course wasn't as muddy as I thought so it was ok. I ended up with third place but sadly no prize - they only gave them to first and second place.
There was a bit of confusion on the course. I did an extra lap after not hearing the cries to stop and apparently Pete B pulled out early after hearing a spectator ringing a bell and thinking it was the last lap. I think he got back on and carried on though - good on you Pete.
David was feeling ill (I think I've passed on the deadly cold) and had to retire early so we are yet to witness a full Kevin B and David R mud wrestle (oh er!).

Yep good fun today if a bit scary in places - came down to the flat bit by the bank at the bottom on one lap and the guy I was about to pass suddenly had his front wheel head to the left side of the path and his rear wheel head to the right for no apparent reason - never seen a bike get sideways on so quickly on a straight and flat track! Just managed to avoid him... And yes I did hear a bell after 3 laps - was a bit suprised but I thought 3 leaders had just lapped me and the bell started just as they crossed the line and carried on for me, so I did a 4th lap and stopped. Case of hearing what you want to I think! David put me straight and I managed to fit in two more laps before the end. Well done on 3rd Delia - shame no prize...

Yep a fun race. I've still got a lot of catching up to do, 4-1 down in the Ball-Rees cup.
There were some stange goings on at the start line. With moments to go before the off, a guy in front of me cracked a bottle of beer open on his pedal, then necked it. Bonkers.
