Is anyone willing to share their HRM and Power race traces from the Crystal Palace crits last year? I know I'm two laps behind every week , but I like to see exactly what this means for me in terms of speed, hr and power. Any assistance much appreciated. R.

If I had any data other than the highly unscientific "number and severity of expletives per lap", you'd be the first to know.
I might wear a HRM next year actually, strongly suspect my pulse hits 300 when the Taylor attacks.

I never used a hrm last year for the reason that it would have made be give up if I saw the data during the race. I think for all of the races it would have been well over 80% of max hr. Probably going above 100% when the elites come through!

Hi, I did wear an HRM at all events last year and at 49 and a max at 182, I spent a lot of time at 172! (finished most of the 3/4th cats in the sprint) NB. Most of this was done at 95 - 100RPM, as I taught myself to pedal fast during the wimnter and this definitely helped.
Hope it helps but doesn't tell me much other than it was bl..dy hard for us oldies!

Brian, would you mind sharing one of your files from last year? I'm only 42, with a 195 HRmax - and I've never finished the Palace less than one lap down on the other Cat4s. This year my goal is to earn at least one race point!
