Myself and three other riders are off to the Tour of Flanders Sportive in a couple of weeks and while we would normally ride in Dulwich kit, this year we've arranged something slightly different. The owner of Has Bean Coffee www.hasbean.co.ukhas kindly agreed to sponsor us for the ride so we will be wearing Team Has Bean kit instead. The great news is that he's also given us a discount code to share so if you buy any coffee from his website and enter the promo code of 'cycle', you'll get 5% off. In addition, all those who have purchased coffee from him will go into a draw to win a Sufferfest video of your choice. If you haven't seen The Sufferfest www.thesufferfest.com and own a turbo, you arent working hard enough. There's more details of the ride and what our mediocre training plan has been like at www.teamhasbean.wordpress.com plus some coffee posts. In a completely unrelated matter, Crystal Palace now has a couple of places doing some pretty good coffee. 'The Living Water' cafe near sainsburys uses Square Mile coffee and has outdoor seating (so room for bikes) and there is a new deli called Good Taste on Westow Hill. Its a bit cramped but they make some great stuff and are using the locally roasted Valcanoworks coffee. Life is too short for bad coffee Mick

Good post Mick and totally agree about good coffee. Has anyone tried Magnus Backstedts brand - Magnus Maximus coffee?
Shame you will not be riding Flanders in DP kit but perhaps you could don a cap or some arrm warmers to fly the DP flag.
As an aside I noticed riding through Coulsdon yesterday that there is an Italian run coffee shop that has outside windbreaks sponsored by and featuring the Addiscombe. They use it as a pre and post ride meeting place in the same way we have done with CSG. Not necessarily something we would want to mimic but an interesting way of promoting the club.

I'll do my best to sneak some DP accessories in the kit bag! I have indeed tried Magnus' coffee but didnt care for it. bit too dark for my taste. Yea, some DP wind breaks would be a good bit of promo, perhaps something for lookmumnohands?
