Please see the message below I've received re a charity event in October.
I am the fundraising officer at the British Skin Foundation, the only UK charity that is dedicated to funding research into all skin diseases. As part of our fundraising plans this year we are holding our very first London to Brighton Cycle Ride on Saturday 1st October 2011 and I was wondering if yourself and members of Dulwich Paragon cycling club would be interested in taking part?
The route is being organised by a professional company and everyone will be issued with a map as well as there being patrol vans along the way to help anyone who got into a bit of difficulty. Therefore, if more experienced cyclists wanted to race ahead they could without having to be concerned about others.
I do realise that it is not the most original route, however we wanted for cyclists of all abilities to be able to take part. If participants wish to treat the event as a race or to beat a previous time they had completed the route in, then we would encourage them to do so. However, if people wish to take a more leisurely approach and to take in the scenery, then they would be welcome to do so.
If you would like any further information please do not hesitate to contact me on 020 7391 6088 or kelly@britishskinfoundation.org.uk
Kindest regards,
Kelly
