I bought some Bontrager XXX the other week - 50g each for £6.99, which is a lot for a tube but that's a saving of 100g for about £7 - 8 which you won't get anywhere else on a bike!
Otherwise, would second David's recommendation, which I normally use.

Latex tubes are lighter than the more common butyl ones, though I don't know if they are more durable. They are a bit pricier than most butyl ones.
Someone recommended me Continental Supersonics as the best balance of durabilty and weight. Not the cheapet tubes though.
(Have to admit I use Vittoria Ultralites too, as I need the 50mm long valves for my wheels. Ribble sell them in 10s and 25s which brings the price down).

I wouldn't recommend Bontager - light but also not very durable - I had two slow punctures within the course of ten miles with Bontagers. Specialized tend to be durable.

Little heavier, but strong and long lasting, and of course amazingly cheap: Decathlon Blue band, 1.99 for 2 tubes !

I just got some Continental Supersonics. Again they are a genuine ~50g according to the weightweenies website and the lightest tube you can get. They seem to work well, and give a noticeably better ride than cheap tubes. Cheapest place to get them is from Rob English www.bikerevuk.com/ You have to ring / email him for an exact quote. I can understand the reluctance to spend £5-10 on an inner tube, but it seems silly to carry round 100g extra rotating weight if spent £2k on a bike by spending £1 on cheap tubes. Andrew

Best inner tubes are latex ones, if you are on pot holed road found in UK time trials and Road Races ask for ribbed latex tubes
