My Fiancee and I are currently looking at moving into the Dulwich area from Clapham and have fallen in love with a flat on Camberwell Grove in Denmark Hill (situated nearer to East Dulwich than Camberwell). Does anyone live in Denmark Hill and if so please put my mind at rest that I won't spend my evenings worrying about my better half (or my bikes for that matter!!!) as I'm completely unfamiliar with the area.

I used to have a flat on Camberwell Grove and have quite a few friends who live in the area (Including me). It's really no better or worse than the rest of inner city London. Camberwell Green can get a bit fractious whilst Dulwich itself, of course, is an oasis of peace, sanity and a velodrome. Welcome to the South East and by all means contact me if you need a longer and more rambling tale.

Ah. That's my home in country where I keep my mistress.
Denmark Hill is a wonderful area, all the better for being relatively little known. There are burglaries of course, but as Steve says no worse than anywhere else in central London.
Just don't try and turn the place into Clapham, that's all I ask.
