Jeremy Beswick and I will be leading youth groups (u16) for the ROTFL this Sunday (you may have heard this already from Charlie C). As an U16 rider you do not need to have pre-entered the event, and it's free.
Post up here if you would like to join our group and state your preference for the short (80km) or long (110km) route. We recommend and are expecting most youth to do the short route. But if you are experienced, have the miles in your legs and confident to tackle the long ride we will consider you for that group. Be realistic about whether you / your child can manage the short route and even more so for the more challenging longer one.
Meet at HHV 8:45 for 9:00 am depart.
Rules – normal road rules apply:
• Membership of BC and HHYCC/DP required • Helmets must be worn • Signed parent/guardian consent form - down load from DP web site - youth tab - write “Ride of the Fallen Leaves” across the top - complete sections 1/2/3 (4 not needed) and have signed.
Please remember to bring/do:
• Wear suitable clothing, check weather forecast beforehand • Inner tubes that fit and work • Snack/energy bar • Water bottle with drink in it, 2 if you have a second cage • Emergency money • Telephone number of parent/guardian/carer/rescuer on a piece of paper in your back pocket.
Parents/Guardians:
Please ensure you or another responsible adult are contactable during the ride, are cognisant of the route and able to collect your charge should the need arise.

William and I will see you there. He says he is content to drag me round the long route but I guess we don't have to commit until we reach the split. Joel
