Youth Chain Gang on a Thursday evening.
The ride will now be following a modified version of the Summer Chain Gang route- which unlike the winter ride is a circular route. As the speed of the ride must thus be governed by the pace of the slowest rider I have to restrict this ride to those members who are 15 years old or over, who are racing or want to race this year and most importantly who can confidently keep pace with the DP fast youth group on the Saturday rides.
Please note that the ride leaves Elmers End at 7.15 pm prompt. You need to be at the Skoda Garage by 7.10 at the latest.
FYI the summer route is as follows: Elmers End> West Wickham>Layhams Rd>Croydon-Westerham Rd>Pilgrims Way>Sundridge Hill>Knockholt and pick up the winter route back to Bromley finishing at the Caravan Site at the top of Crystal Palace approx 9 pm.
As this is a road ride normal rules apply:
BC & HHYCC/DP membership required
Helmets must be worn
Working lights essential
Bring a spare inner tube
Drink and snack
Phone number of parents/guardian/rescuer.
Please let me know if you are planning to ride this week.
If they can bear the ignominy of beaten thrashed by riders half their age, adults are welcome to join this group, however the emphasis will be on the youth training.
