The thread to discuss the Tuesday/Thursday chaingang - who's going, how much it hurt etc...

Hi all, Could anyone who has done Tues/Thurs CG post up any links to Strava activities for any of these rides? I can't make the next few Wednesdays and don't want to embarrass myself, as I'm aware these are for stronger/higher categorised riders. Thanks

Hi Mo, having ridden with you last Sunday I reckon you'd be okay for a Tuesday/Thursday chaingang.

Just miss some turns if you are struggling, its a great leveller. Usually regroups at the top of the climbs (i.e. where someone could get dropped) anyway. Anyone out tonight by the way?

Thanks Alex and Matt. It can be difficult to judge these things. See you later, hopefully.

So... am I missing something or is there literally just nobody out aside from on Wednesday?

There were 4 out on Tuesday night. A scan of Strava seems to show you were the only one out tonight on the Chaingang and with the weather this afternoon I can understand why.
With BST starting Sunday you can expect a pick up in people out and about Tues/Weds/Thurs from next week I'd have thought.
Wednesday night has become popular due to some peoples work schedules and training schedules dictating Wednesday as the best day to head out for an organised ride, more by default rather than by design. That nucleus has attracted a core group of 4 or 5 who ride together often. It could just have easily evolved on a Tuesday or a Thursday.
Likely to be some alternate gangs growing in numbers in both RPs as well soon.

Ben, enough with the UAs (unnecessary acronyms)

I much prefer TLAs (Three Letter Acronyms).

There was 7 of us tonight. Good fun, if right on the edge for me and certainly gives me a target to aim for. Left it to the others to do Pole hill loop while I recovered.
