Results from last week at Cyclopark
Joel reports that everyone finished, Oliver finished well in the bunch, while Will and Joe rode a strong race together and he came in with a creditable 37th place. Chapeau to you all. I believe the series continues this week- check and enter on line at Rider HQ.
Thursday evening Chain Gang
Chain gang training ride open to regular Junior and over 18's riders only. You know the drill - Elmers End at 7 for a set off at 7.15. Please take care descending Polhill (last big hill before you turn back) as there is a pretty large pot hole on the last bend. If it is safe to do so ride near the central white line to avoid it. Nick will be comforted to know that it caught another rider tonight. Unfortunately I cannot make the ride this week and Dave may well be held up at work, however Arthur has volunteered to keep an eye on you.
Saturday Ride
We will be running the normal youth ride this Saturday- the emphasis will be on working together. Meet at 8.45 for start at 9 am returning to Paradou/Cadance for 1 ish.
New regular Saturday ride for strong riders aged 14 and all other riders 15 years old (and above)
The first of these rides will be on the 22rd March, (next week end) and will a road ride broadly following the published Dulwich Saturday route. Meet at the velodrome at 8.45 for a 9 am start, finishing for tea and buns at Cadance/Paradou at about 1 o'clock.
Riders need to follow the standard 'pack drill':
Please ensure your bike is in a ride-able condition, gears, tyres, brakes- you know the drill. We will be doing checks before leaving.
Parents/Guardians- please make yourself cognisant with the route and be able if necessary to collect your charge should the need arise
Dunwich Dynamo Saturday 12th July
This is a very jolly overnight ride from London to the back end of Suffolk and is a cycling must. I would like make this ride one of the junior's highlights of the summer, so please
Details of the ride are at www.sportive.com/events/dunwich-dynamo-sportive-2014/2014-07-12/532/cycling
Act fast- the bus is always oversubscribed and is only available to Dulwich Members.
