It’s the briefest of emails, fantastic to see so many of you out competing in the team champs last weekend, far too many great efforts, smiles, support and general all round happiness on a really very good course to differentiate between individual riders.
Saturday Ride 7th February - MTB/ Cross adventure
I’ll be leading a ride out tomorrow, dong the Hayes, Keston, Addington route in reverse, starting at the velodrome at 9.00 and finishing at Cadence around 1.30pm. While nominally a ‘ride’ I’m sure we’ll find the time to play on some of the hills and features on the route. Please bear in mind the forecast is for a moderately cool weather, so dress accordingly.
Part of ride will be on road so the normal rules apply:
DP/HHYCC & BC membership required
Helmets must be worn
Wear suitable clothing for the season- prepare for cold
Bring copious quantities of drink and some food
Spare inner tubes that fit
Emergency and money
Telephone number of parent or rescuer on a piece paper
If this is your first ride a signed parental consent form.
Parents/Guardians/Rescuers-You’re welcome to join us however if you can’t/don’t want to join in please ensure you are contactable and able to collect your charge should the need arise.
Sunday 8th Feb - Gorrick - Spring Series, Rd 2
Not totally convinced the Gorrick team know what season it is but ever the optimist I’ll accept its Spring - but it will be damn cold racing on Sunday.
You know the drill, lets have loads of you racing, details as ever www.gorrick.com. Some of us will be riding the OAP races starting around 11 o’clock.
Wednesday 11th DP Evening Chain Gangs
It’s an intermediate session this week- open to strong riders 14/5 plus - you know who you are - details Dulwich Forum
Thursday Chain Gangs on the track at Herne Hill
These sessions are gearing up to preparing you for the opening of the track and road season, no names but if you are currently regularly racing the cross series and want to up your game you must make these sessions a priority, they are an invaluable form of base training. Starting at 7pm with a fee of £3. Bring a completed Parents consent form to your first session.
