The following was sent tonight to all riders registered across the first 4 weeks of the series:
Thank you for entering Crystal Palace Crits in 2015.
As you are probably aware we were genuinely surprised to sell the first four races sell out within 24 hours of listing them on RiderHQ. It left many disappointed that they'd missed out on "the race" to sign up. We're delighted the series is so popular and the sport is booming yet want to balance this against trying to ensure everyone has a fair chance to get to ride London's most iconic Summer Series of Criteriums (even if we do say so ourselves!).
As a result we'd like you to be aware of policies regarding your entry across the first four races and for entries for the remainder of the series.
For Races 1 through 4:
- Refunds will only be offered until 7 days before race day (i.e. for the May 5th race this will be Tuesday the 28th at 700pm)
- Substitutions for any race in the series will no longer be offered as of the 24th of April (i.e. you have until the 24th to substitute a club mate into your place for the first four races) less transaction costs
- Any and all cancellations will be offered as £15 EOL on the night, first come first in at sign on in Cadence Performance
- We will strictly enforce the 6:55pm cut off for no shows, there are no refunds for no shows
For Races 5 and 6:
- RiderHQ will be opened 2 weeks prior to the race date on Tuesday night following racing at Crystal Palace (not before 900pm)
- Refunds will be offered until 7 days before race day (i.e. for the June 2nd race this will be Tuesday the 26th at 700pm) less transaction costs
- Substitutions will not be allowed
- Entries to the categories will be LIMITED to:
35 racers for Mens 3/4
25 racers for Womens E/1/2/3/4
30 racers for Mens E/1/2
- Entries will close 48 hours before racing, any spaces not sold out across the categories as above will go to £15 EOL on the night, first come first in at sign on in Cadence Performance regardless of category
- We will strictly enforce the 6:55pm cut off for no shows, there are no refunds for no shows
To help us on the night:
- Make sure your RiderHQ details are up to date and complete - BC Number, Category, Emergency Contact Number, DOB, Club Name etc. This is critical
- Bring your Racing License (or a screen shot or have it ready on your phone)
- Be respectful and remember the night is run 100% by volunteers
