A few results this week, Titouan’s continues his strong season, a 3rd at the MSG in Bury St Edmunds followed by an incredibly tight 3rd at Beastway last night- the first 3 of the race crossed the line within a couple seconds of each other.
Commiserations to Kaspur, seemingly riding a strong race at Stratford on Wednesday, until running out of skill
in the last laps and hitting the deck.... keep on trying lad , you can do it - race that is.
Saturday 13th - Road Ride
I’m enthused by the fine weather and fully expect it to remain warm and sunny until October, thus we will be leading a steady paced road ride this Saturday. No doubt we’ll visit a few of your more favorite hills out Ide Hill way. Overall distance will be approx 50/60 miles, ridden at a steady pace.
Usual stuff - meet at the velodrome at 8.50 am and we’ll be back at Cafe Paradou around 1.30. Helmets, DP/HHYCC and BC membership required (unless this is your first ride with us), use some sun cream stuff, bring inner tubes etc and please please make sure your bike is in decent condition - at this stage in the season your bike should be in excellent working order.
Parents/Guardians and Carers are welcome to join the ride, however should this concept not appeal, you need to contactable and available to collect your charge should the need arise.
Next Saturday 20th June
This is scheduled to be an off road adventure, if the weather is kind, I’m planning to do a longer ride with a destination of either Rochester, Leeds Castle or possibly Brighton. If we run this please bear in mind, a, we’ll return to London by train so bring a train fare, b, the ride will probably take most of the day.
Next week………again loads of stuff, and as your exams are practically finished some of you older ones will have to time to consider more of the options:
