Train travellers beware!
There are replacement bus services on some routes tomorrow morning. Denmark Hill to Meopham looks OK, but Penge East to Meopham (which I was planning) has a bus as far as Bromley South, which doesn't allow bikes. I'd suggest checking in the morning so you don't get caught out.
See you there (somehow or other)

Great to see all you ladies for our final winter race training today! Another blustery session and some excellent cornering, figure of 8s, group racing...and team tactics!
It was great to see so many new faces at the sessions and I hope everyone learnt a lot and is now itching to sign up to some races! To see a list of all of the latest Women's races, go to the 'Road Racing' tab here on the forum and then there is a thread called 'Paragonette - 2016 Races'. If you're going to a race and fancy a race buddy, look or post here. Then you can chat pre-race tactics and decide if your going to be a...Competitive, Vacant, Negative or Co-operative part of the race for the Paragonette team!
There is also the 'London Women's Racing League'. Take a look at the relevant thread in the road racing tab. This has been re-established and gives those both less and more experienced riders a great opportunity to race, with points and prizes structured for the different levels.
WELL DONE to the ladies who won the track world cup tickets:
Orla - Most improved D - winning the elimination race Esther - winning the handicapped race
Thank you also to the club for supporting us with this training.
And also many thanks to Becca for all of the organising - great job!

Thanks all for a really fun and useful session today - especially to Olivia for organising us all. Sadly I can't make use of my prize ticket as I have an exam that day (although part of me is very tempted to run out of the exam hall early). Would any of you like it? Maybe @orlamccourt or Dalila Lecky you'd like to take someone with you? Also, I was already thinking about buying a new helmet, so if there's any chance we'll be taking up Jez's suggestion about team helmets let me know E

Hey ladies, Becca (who was very deservingly awarded a track world cup ticket for the great job she's done organising all of this training) won't be able to make use of her ticket and so has given me permission to draw names from a hat and pass it on to one of you. Please post up if you're be able to go to the session on Wednesday 2nd March at 1.30pm and I'll draw names this Tuesday (that should be enough time for anyone who wants to to put their name in, right?) I'm also going to send an email out to all of you repeating this, as I think some don't read the forum.

Hey Esther Drabkin-Reiter, I can't think of anyone I'd bring who'd be able to ditch work on a Wednesday afternoon as easily as I could, hopefully someone else will make use of it.

Following on from what Jez was saying about Cat 4 women's races, this one at Hog (without the) Hill on 12th March just popped up. Could be a good opportunity to try out the training skills, as it says on the poster!

From the responses received so far and the lack of responses from others, I shall assume that none of the race training ladies are available next Wednesday afternoon. So if anyone else in the club wants a free ticket for the Track World Champs (Wednesday 2nd March 1.30pm) just pm me, first come first served - probably with preference to the female contingent of the club

I might do the race on the 12th too. (See, now I've said I might do it - now you have to all bully me so I actually do, as agreed on Sunday!!)

Jo Sloman and Alex Rose, and any other keen 4th cats, I have signed up for 12th March. Do it!

You won't find many 4th cat only races - if ever again this season! (When I started racing there weren't even many - hardly any - 3/4 races !) I would encourage all 4th cats (all beginners are 4th cat remember) to get in on this! Go Dulwich!

Hi I'm new to the club and haven't had a chance to get to sessions recently. I heard that there was a parragonettes session in Regents Part on a Wednesday evening but have been unable to find any more information on it. Would someone be able to point me in the right direction? Thanks!

Would someone be able to point me in the right direction? Thanks! Hello! Welcome! Last year there were Wednesday evening sessions that were a general intro to chaingangs and getting to ride together in a group. I've spoken to a few ladies and there's appetite to do that again, probably towards the end of April once it's still light at 8pm (when sessions used to generally end) and people return from the club training camp. If anything is sorted there will be a post in this section of the forum. There's a ladies off the bike social on 7 April - not sure of the venue yet but would be good if you could come along. Often the best way to find out about things is to get talking to others - and everyone is rather lovely. H
