I'm definitely in for this. Have a few hilly routes from Alps training last year.

And just like that, alpine hill club was formed. First outing over Easter weekend? Good tips @markjamesjones

So so all potential Easter days are covered - Easter Friday?

I'm rubbish at hills and am planning on attempting a Ventoux climb this year so it is essential I get better and would very much welcome some practice! Keen to get involved with the first session depending on what day over Easter...

I'm much slower than the rest of you so won't come to longer hilly rides but if you go to an area, such as Toys & Ide, and do reps then I'll pop along. Free Friday, Sunday and Monday.

Blimey - took them 5 hours - and we'd have to get there too!

Good on you Pez - Easter Mon? I have to be back for late lunch at 3pm, so might take a train down there to allow for an earlyish start. Should be empty on a bank holiday. You also have to allow a little extra for the roll back down into Dorking as it finishes atop Leith.

Yes, up for an early start via train on the Monday, anyone who fancies riding down can meet in the station car park

Hi all
I am not doing L'Étape, but am doing the Maratona, so could also do with some climbing training! What sort of pace are you thinking for the Dorking ride, and what kind of start time?

I would be up for this on Easter Monday. Alex "cautiously" fancies doing some of it too. Early start and train seems a good idea to maximise climbing joy.

There is a Waterloo - Clap J - Dorking train which gets in at 0811 or 0841, I would be happy with either of these
