Hi Karen,
I haven't had any emails, must be a problem with your mail. Anyway, I've just replied to Richie's email and the bedroom you want is cool with us. I'll email later this week about money.
Looking forward to seeing you guys out here,
Kevin

A month to go and I'm still not sure how I'm getting there. Is there anyone else in the same position or are you all sorted for lifts?
A rough perusal of the interweb gives Easyjet prices around £45(depart Fri 19th morning and returning Sunday 28th) plus tax (£14) and insurance (£11). Transfers from Geneva to Chamonix are 55 euros return. That's already 100 nicker. Then there's getting to Gatwick/Luton/Stansted and Sleazy's bike surcharge of £15. This is starting to get expensive! At this rate I'm very tempted to take my motorbike (if there's space in someone's car for my bicycle)
If there are 4 of us it might be cheaper to hire a car and spend around £35 each on petrol (1200-ish miles at 40mpg).
Suggestions anyone?

Graeme, don't forget that we only have chalet until Friday the 26th, we have to leave on the morning of Saturday the 27th so if you return on Sunday you would have to arrange for somewhere to stay Saturday night. How are Oscar and David getting out, would they be able to squeeze you into a car? As far as I know everyone else is either coming in Bob's or Sean's cars.
Andy, there is one place still not taken. However, it would be on a sofa bed in the living room which may not be all that comfortable after a hard days cycling. Email me if you would still interested in that.

Here's a round up of who's paid up and coming with transport arrangements. It looks like we might need another car to accomodate everyone especially if Andy comes. If Andy decides to come for sure then the chalet is full.
Please update this list if anyone concerned knows different.
Paid up:
Kevin Julene
Bob (Bob's car) Anne (Bob's car outward trip only) Mark (Bob's car) Jeff (Bob's car)
Sean (Sean's car) Claire (Sean's car) Rich (Sean's car) Karen (Sean's car)
Graeme (??) Oscar (??) David (??) Paul - Anne's friend (??)
Possible (not paid):
Andy Eagles (??)

Oscar and I will be travelling together.
If his car makes it through a service then we'll take his and should just have room for 1 at a push.
If not, we'll take mine they'll be no free space.
Should know soon.

It seems like everyone has their transport sorted out then with everyone driving out on Friday 19th to arrive for late afternoon/early evening. Anne's friend is flying to Geneva then getting a transfer or cycling to Chamonix.
I guess almost everyone's experienced cycling up mountains before but I've switched my cassette to a 12-27 just to make things a little easier (I bonked the other day 30km from home). If anyone else is thinking of doing the same I'd recommend it when you come out here. There are a couple of good bike shops here in Chamonix but it would be a good idea to have your bike serviced back in the UK as some of the roads are pretty remote. We've been out scouting routes to ride and with some good weather it's going to be fantastic. I'm hoping the Col de la Colombiere will open soon so we can have a go at that one and the Aravis in one go!
The Giro's started and it's looking good for Salvodelli. They're also showing the 4 days of Dunkirque on terrestrial tv here in France, superb!
Would anyone mind bringing some Veggie sausages out from the UK please? We can't buy them here in France, you can name your price.
See you all in 12 days!

The track pump I have and a turbo if you get bored of the scenery. However, the corset has sadly departed our world. We cremated it a week ago as part of our end of season ritual. Those plastics burn good: there was a pall of black smoke over Argentiere and probably a hole in the ozone layer! Thanks for the sausage offer Richie, I hope it still stands. Would you be interested in any other of julenes paraphernalia, for example we have a high toilet seat (good for practicing gurning through).
