The number of punctures you cross bicyclists seem to get is obscene. If I ever thought of riding slowly round a playing field whilst skipping over a plank I wouldn't bother with tires - just ride on serrated rims. Over the course of a season I'd probably do better than if I'd spent 200 quid on a fistful of on silk tubs.
As you were.

Oh David! After all of these years of resistance you really do want to have a go don't you? Call yourself a Belgian beauty, honestly!

Aparently George nearly caused a few spectator casulties with his flying leap down the drop off!

that is a great pic of Andy passing me. To be fair I did make a very small effort dress wise with dreadlock glowsticks, you just can't see them. My main problem was the super dooper helmet light I borrowed from the sponsors packed up inside a lap I think, so the only light I had was a small one on the bars, which was ok in a straight line (not that there was much) but not funny going into corners as couldn't see the path til i straightened up.
I think the results are wrong too, I'm correctly ahead of the next guy but don't think I was that high up as I spent most of the race trying to keep someone behind me to light the path.
probably the best event at HH since the Good Friday meet when O'Grady & Brad rode. Casper has already booked the venue for halloween next year as falls nicely on a sunday.

That pic of Bryan and Andy is hilarious - My sides were splitting when I saw that one.
Bryan you look totally oblivious to who's next to you. Your lights must've packed up big style last night!
Another edition of muddy hell next year - better start thinking about costumes!

That's a nice photo Ian. How could you have improved it? By wearing Simon's mask? :-) ;-)

The wrap of his chain is more important than that of his apparel. ¬¬¬

A couple of the riders impressed the beer tent watchers by bunny hopping the obstacle:

NIce that Gareth - referred to only as a Dulwich Paragon rider - gets a special mention in John M's LCS write up for his 'act of kindness' in giving up his front wheel to the winner when he punctured. Chapeau!

Sounds more like a transparent excuse to give up. I like your style.

a couple of people bailed where I was, saying their lights had given out ... excuses! but am sure it was a dulwichian who punctured and then when I pointed him the way off course said "sod that", picked up his bike and ran a lap! chapeau indeed!
