Good stuff Delia! Bradford looks like fun as well.
Re team competition it's the same format as the London Team Champs. Ride individually and placings of the top 3 riders to count. British Cycling said they only run a team competition if there are at least 3 teams, each with at least 3 riders. BC say they didn't run it last year or the year before due to lack of teams and they reckon it's unlikely to run this year. Thing is, we've still got just over a week until the deadline and there are already 29 ladies entered so who knows.
Also, if you look at the start list there are 2 teams there each with 2 riders - Swindon and Welland Valley. Swindon definitely have more than 2 girls doing cyclo cross in their club and I can ask the Welland ladies if they could get a third rider involved. Both clubs have mixed levels of riders, like us.
I'm happy to approach them. Of course, this is on the assumption that we are going to field a team of our own. Melissa, are you up for a fun day out at Sutton Park in January?

I see the start sheets are out on the BC website and Kevin, David and Delia are all listed but couldn't spot Andy in the seniors. Is it an admin error?

couldn't spot Andy in the seniors. Is it an admin error? Unfortunately not. I thought I had entered back in August when I entered the whole National Trophy Series on line. There is an option to "enter all" with the National Champs in the list, so clicked that thinking the Nat Champs were included. They're not. I've had an email from BC saying there's nothing they can do at this stage so I'm not racing. I'm really disappointed, but I'm the only one to blame as I didn't read the entry instructions properly. I'm hoping to put my form to good use by going to Belgium in February to race a couple of events, possibly including a Superprestige - equivalent level to a World Cup. I'm going to go up to the Nationals on the Saturday to support Kevin still.

Do we still want the van? I am inclined to change to an estate if you are not taking bikes up.

Ian, would have offered you a lift but I've changed my plans now and am only going up for the Saturday and returning that evening. I was planning on staying overnight so that I could pit for Andy on the Sunday.

If the Nationals get postponed, does anyone fancy a Saturday cyclo-cross ride out to Mitcham Common? Should be laugh in the snow and ice.

If it's anything like the snow we rode in up in Otley then it should be good fun on the common...

CW got that from Simon Burney, who's on the board, but there's still no word on the BC site.

National Cyclo-Cross Championships 2010
Notice of postponement due to adverse weather conditions
After extensive consultation with the Birmingham City Council Safety Advisory Group, event organisers and the suppliers of the event services it has reluctantly been decided that it is now necessary to postpone the 2010 National Cyclo-Cross Championships.
The decision to postpone the event has not been taken lightly and comes after extensive daily discussions with all parties. The decision is made entirely on the grounds of public safety after considering all the issues concerning vehicle movements & the supply of services into Birmingham’s Sutton Park.
At this time it is agreed by all parties that whilst the course itself may well be capable of holding the racing events the access roads into the parks have some very serious problems due to ice & snow conditions and the forecasts for sub zero temperatures & more heavy snow on Sunday leave little choice.
In addition to this, the accessibility of essential services such as ambulance cover, event vehicles, temporary toilets, gantries & crowd barriers have proved impossible to guarantee.
It is under these circumstances that it has been agreed that the race will be postponed.
After consultation with organisers, officials, rider representatives & members of the BC & the UCI Cyclo-Cross Commissions It has been agreed that the re-scheduled National Championship events will now be held on the weekend of the 6th & 7th of February at the same venue.
All programme details for the National Championships will remain the same and entries will be carried forward to the revised date.
Birmingham City Council have made every effort to try to make the event happen, and have been extremely helpful in accommodating the rearranged date at short notice.
Riders unable to make the rescheduled event may apply for a refund of their entry fee by e-mailing cxrefund@britishcycling.org.uk, or writing to BCHQ. Requests for refunds must be received by 12 noon on Friday 15th January. No additional entries will be accepted.
Again please do not attempt to contact organisers, officials or Birmingham City Council at this busy time. All information relevant to this and the re-scheduled event will be posted as soon as it becomes available.
